A NOTE FROM PATRICK

Why Log Cabin?

I first started building Squarespace sites for my own music projects and a few friends. After COVID hit, and Lauren and I got married soon after, the need to make real money got real, real quick. I took up freelance web design the same month we got married, September 2020.

It turned out to be the perfect mix of the two things I love: the creative side that cares how something looks and feels, and the technical side that refuses to settle for a site that doesn’t perform. Everything I’ve learned has been by doing it - building, breaking, fixing, and refining until it functions perfectly, and looks even better.

I eventually called it Log Cabin, because a good website should feel like a well-built home. Cozy and purposeful for the people who live there and for the guests who walk through the door. When people put real effort into their homes, they care about two things: Does it work? And does it make people want to come in? That’s the standard we bring to every project.

Our long-term goal as a family is to build our own home in the mountains someday - our own log cabin. We work to achieve that by helping business owners build their homes on the web. In Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, and the rest of the Fraser Valley - plus clients further afield, from Whitefish to New York, from Pennsylvania to Luxembourg - we build high-converting digital homes that let their businesses thrive so they can focus on the life and work that matter most.

No big agency fluff. No disappearing after launch. Just solid design, clear strategy, custom work where it counts, and Care Plans so the site keeps working long after we go live.

If that sounds like what you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear about your business.

Mission

Thoughtfully designing your home on the web.

We build high-converting Squarespace websites and brand identities for busy founders who want something that looks sharp, works hard, and doesn’t need babysitting after launch.

No big agency fluff. No disappearing after the project ends. Just solid design, clear strategy, and ongoing Care Plans so your site keeps performing for years.

The Builders

  • Patrick Jolicoeur

    FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Patrick was born in Langley, BC and moved to Abbotsford at age four, where he’s lived ever since. After graduating in 2010, he spent 10 years as a youth and worship leader at a local church while working in the service ind, and writing and performing with his band PARAVEL (who are just starting to record again after COVID derailed them and they all got married :).

He met his wonderful wife Lauren at Field House Brewing Co. in 2019, and they were married in 2020. Their first daughter arrived in 2023, and in 2025 they had identical twin girls. His greatest joy is being a husband and father, which is why Log Cabin is built the way it is - fully remote so he can actually be present at home, his favourite thing to do.

Patrick handles the overall direction of the company, site design and development, marketing services, SEO, AI Optimization (AIO), and the Care Plans that keep everything running after launch.

  • Lauren Jolicoeur

    GRAPHIC DESIGN LEAD

Lauren was born and raised in Abbotsford. She worked mainly in floral shops before beginning her work as a graphic designer in 2017. She graduated in 2019 from the two-year Graphic Design diploma program at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in Abbotsford. She specializes in brand identity - logos, brandmarks, wordmarks - and has a particular strength with hand-drawn line work, though she’s never limited to one style.

She works on visual identity and graphic design work at Log Cabin, making sure every logo and brand system feels intentional and consistent from the first concept through to the finished website. Because they’re a true team of two, the branding and the site design stay tightly connected the whole way.

Patrick and Lauren are raising their three girls together in Abbotsford and running the business from home. That shared focus on family is part of why they care so much about building things that last and then actually staying around to maintain them.
